Giving Back

Today the Campaign announced that on Christmas Eve, the final day of his “12 Days of Results Tour,” Chris Dodd will be in Carroll, Iowa, to talk about the importance of service in the community and to the country, and to assemble care packages to send to Iowa National Guardsmen that have been deployed overseas. A former Peace Corps volunteer himself, and having served in the National Guard and Army Reserves, Chris Dodd has made national service, including his call for a community service requirement for graduation from high school, a central issue of his campaign.

From 12:00-1:30 p.m. Senator Dodd will be at the South Side Park Shelter House at the corner of Main and Bluff in Carroll on December 24th.

Des Moines Holiday Party

Megan Lubin's picture

Here are some pictures from last night's Holiday Party at the Star Bar here in Des Moines. About 150 supporters and undecided voters packed the restaurant for a couple hours to meet Chris Dodd and hear him speak. A great time was had by all, and I hope these pictures can convey the festive atmosphere that filled the room.

What They're Saying, March 22nd

The South Carolina Democratic Party, South Carolina State University and House Majority Whip James Clyburn invited Democratic candidates to an April 26th debate -- the first of the primary season -- in Orangeburg, and Senator Chris Dodd was first out of the gate accepting the invite. “The fact that we will be at Congressman Jim Clyburn’s alma mater for this first debate makes it even more significant,” said Dodd.
