117 More Legislators Back Dodd's Iraq Legislation

As we reported yesterday, 35 Arizona State Legislators signed a letter to President Bush and Congress urging quick passage of Senator Dodd's legislation capping the number of troops in Iraq and requiring further Congressional authorization for any future increase in troop levels. Today comes word from Connecticut, where 117 State Representatives and Senators issued a letter supporting Dodd's legislation as well.

Thursday Update

Here's what Senator Dodd's been up to recently: Yesterday, Senator Dodd offered legislation in the Foreign Relations Committee to put teeth into a non-binding resolution which would force the President to seek authorization before any additional troops could be sent to police the civil war in Iraq.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the long radio silence. We're still getting our sea legs here on the blog, and we hope updates will become more regular. I wanted to just spend a minute recapping Friday's events. Senator Dodd held a huge rally at the historic Old State House before he began a weekend visit to New Hampshire.
